Changing Children’s Lives Today and Tomorrow
On October 1, 2018, the Mudd Nick Foundation lost its heart and soul, co-founder Jim Mudd, to a heart attack. We will forever be grateful for his passion, efforts, guidance and inspiration on behalf of the children of North Tillamook County. A memorial service will be held for Jim on Saturday, October 27th at 2:00 PM at the Neah-Kah-Nie High School lower gym, 24705 US-101, Rockaway Beach, OR. All are welcome. A reception for adults will follow at the North County Recreation District, 36155 9th St, Nehalem, OR. In lieu of flowers, the family would be honored with donations made to the Mudd Nick Foundation.

Our Mission is to broaden the horizons of deserving children in greater Nehalem Bay and North Tillamook County. We provide life expanding opportunities for targeted children in elementary, middle and high school, and children with special needs through special non‐school sponsored experiences away from home.
The Programs are designed to teach children the fundamentals of lifelong stellar citizenship by encouraging them to be responsible for their individual actions, respect themselves and others, maintain high integrity, exhibit socially accepted behaviors, expand their life experiences, minds and curiosities.
Jim Mudd and Doug Nicholson, friends since their days at Oregon State University, decided to start a coed golf tournament in 1990, which they christened the Mudd Nick Invitational. In 2006, the Mudd Nick Foundation was formed as a 501(c)(3) non-profit and a board of nine directors was selected to develop a Vision, Mission, Guiding Principles and Objectives. Over the last 11 years, in excess of $1,400,000 has been raised to support over 60 Learning Experiences annually.
